Returning an Unwanted Item

Changed your mind on your item? Not a problem!

Please let us know within 14 days of receipt of your goods, you'll then have an additional 14 days to return to us.

We kindly ask that you email us at sales@jackstonehouse.com with your order details and advise whether you would like a refund or exchange.

Please note that unwanted items are returned at the customer's expense and must be sent back unused and in the original packaging and condition in which they were received - this is also applicable to orders with multiple boxes.

Please also request proof of postage from your chosen courier and provide this in your email to us.

N.B. All items should be checked upon delivery, even if you are not planning on using your item straight away.

Returning a Faulty Item

We're sorry to hear that you have received a faulty item. 

In the event of your order arriving faulty or damaged, we kindly ask that you either reject the order upon delivery or sign for the item as damaged and then reach out to us at sales@jackstonehouse.com within 3 working days.

Please provide your order details, information about the fault/damage, and supporting images in your email to us.

Our team will review the information provided and, if a replacement is agreed, we will send this to you free of postage charges.

If you would prefer a refund, please kindly let us know and we will arrange collection of the faulty item.

N.B. Please be aware that we cannot accept any damaged claims after 3 working days of receipt of the order.

Receiving My Refund

Once we have confirmation that we have received your items, we will process your refund within 3-5 working days via your original payment method.

Alternatively, we will send out your replacement/exchange according to the above timescales if this has been requested instead of a refund

Please note that refunds for unwanted items do not include the original postage costs, only the amount of the product itself.

Product Care
Radiator Cover Use & Care

How do you measure for a radiator cover?

Start by measuring the width, length, and height of your radiator and then allow for a 3-4cm gap all around.

Next, check the internal dimensions of your chosen model, ensuring that you have accommodated the gap so that the cover doesn’t fit tightly over your radiator.

Finally, check that the external dimensions of the radiator cover will fit in your space, i.e. won’t be so large that they are obstructed by a windowsill or wall.

 

Does the cover come assembled?

Your radiator cover is self-assembly and will arrive flat packed; however, putting it together is a simple and straightforward process with instructions included.

 

I can’t find my instruction manual, what do I do?

Simply get in touch and one of our friendly team members will be happy to email you a copy of the instructions for your model. You can use our online chat or call us on 01604 537900, the team are available from Mon to Fri 9am-5pm.

 

Do you make made to measure radiator covers?

We only offer ready-made “standard” radiator covers, however, these often work with most radiators and so many of our customers find that they don’t need a bespoke option. Check the specs tab to see the internal and external dimensions of your chosen radiator cover.

 

Do you make tall radiator covers?

We currently have two models of radiator covers with extra height (a small and large version) which have additional height dimensions to accommodate taller appliances.

 

I’ve bought an unfinished radiator cover, what paint should I use?

We always recommend starting with a water-based primer or undercoat to give you a smooth and even foundation for your main colour. As the covers are made from sturdy MDF it is best to choose a wood paint, however, you can use other types of paint provided that you have used a primer coat first.

 

How do I attach my radiator cover to the wall?

Your radiator cover comes with an L shaped bracket – simply attach this to the wall using the provided screws and then fix the radiator cover to the bracket.

 

Why should I use a radiator cover?

There are several reasons why radiator covers are great investments. Firstly, they’re an easy and cost-effective way of disguising an old-fashioned or unattractive radiator, giving your space an instant facelift.

Additionally, positioning a cabinet around your radiator is a great safety measure for your home as it stops young children and pets from being able to touch its hot surface.

 

Can you put a radiator cover in the bathroom?

Bathrooms are naturally humid spaces with lots of moisture created by baths and showers. As radiator covers are made from MDF and either painted or foil wrapped, we do not recommend using them in the bathroom due to the risk of moisture damage.

 

Can a radiator cover be used on an electric heater or storage heater?

Our radiator covers are designed for use with the type of radiators connected to your central heating system (often called hot water containers/baseboard style radiators).

 

Will using a radiator cover cause my radiator to overheat?

There’s no need to worry about a radiator cover causing your appliance to overheat. Our covers are designed to allow hot air to continue circulating around the room as opposed to getting trapped inside the cabinet

 

Are radiator covers safe?

Absolutely! Our radiator covers are made from durable MDF – a material which doesn’t conduct heat – and can be fixed to your wall for enhanced rigidity and sturdiness, meaning that they cannot be accidentally pulled over.

Jack Stonehouse is pleased to deliver to UK Mainland, Scottish Highlands and Northern Ireland customers as well as offer standard and express delivery options (UK Mainland only, orders placed on a working day). For detailed delivery info on a specific product, please feel free to talk with our dedicated customer service team.

Please note that orders for express delivery must be placed before midday on a working day for same-day dispatch. Any orders placed after the midday cut-off, on a bank holiday or a weekend will be dispatched on the next available working day. 

*Please be aware that delivery to the Scottish Highlands and Northern Ireland can take an extra couple of days, therefore we advise that you do not choose express delivery as our couriers are unable to deliver within an express working day timescale to these locations.*

We currently deliver using the following couriers: Royal Mail, Hermes, Yodel, XDP, and DPD.

Whilst we work as hard as possible to deliver your order within the provided timeframes, sometimes delays are unavoidable as a result of conditions outside of our control or during peak periods.

Checking Your Order

At point of delivery, we kindly request that you please check your order for any signs of damage - even if you do not intend to use your item immediately - at which time you can sign for as damaged with the courier or reject the delivery. Please report any damages to our customer service team.

Any claims for damages or discrepancies much be submitted within 3 days of receipt of your goods.


Drop shipping 


All Greenhurst products will be drop shipped directly from our supplier. This delivery is expected to take between 2 - 3 working days. If you have any queries on drop shipping please contact our customer service team. 

 

RETURNS INFORMATION

 

When to return?

Changed your mind about your order? Not a problem – simply let us know within 14 days of receipt of your goods that you wish to return your unwanted goods. You then have a further 14 days to return the item(s) to us. Information regarding the return of damaged goods can be found at the bottom of this returns policy. Please be aware that we will need to inspect and approve a return before issuing any refunds.

 

How to return?

We kindly request that you put your returns request in writing to us and state whether you would like a refund, exchange, or replacement. If you have purchased your item via our website, please inform us of your request via email at sales@jackstonehouse.com. If you have purchased your item via a third party sales channel such as eBay or Amazon, please inform us of your request via the respective third party chat/email.

Please note that you are liable for any transportation costs incurred to return your item(s).

Please be aware that any unwanted goods should be returned to us unused, in their original packaging, and in the condition in which you received them. Please check that all instructions and fixings for your item are included with your return.

If your order comes in multiple boxes, please ensure that all parts are returned to us in their original packing and in their original received condition.

Please ensure that you also request proof of postage from your chosen courier and notify us of your return tracking information at sales@jackstonehouse.com.

REFUNDS INFORMATION

 

Getting a refund

The team processes the refund to your original method of payment within 3-5 working days of confirming that we have received your item(s). The return of the funds into your account is then dependant on the end processor, e.g., your bank, PayPal, Amazon Pay, etc.

For items that are returned to us as unwanted, we will refund the original paid price of the item itself only - the delivery charge is not included in your refund.

If you have requested a replacement or exchange of your goods, this will be sent out once we have received and approved your return.

We reserve the right to withhold part or all of a refund should any unwanted goods not be returned to us in their original condition. A re-stocking fee may also apply.

Returning faulty products?

All items should be checked upon delivery, even if you are not planning on using your item straight away. Although we strive to ensure that all of our products are carefully packaged and delivered to our customers, unfortunately there may be rare occasions when an item arrives faulty or damaged.

In the event of receiving a faulty item, we please ask that you either:

Reject the item upon delivery

Sign for the item as damaged and then forward on details of the issue plus any supporting images within 3 working days to sales@jackstonehouse.com
